an experiment with rotating 2D-shapes in after effects
a little play around with C4D and dynamics
i made a butterfly in cinema 4D and tracked it with boujou into real footage. for the compositing i used after effects.

“The Limit” was a school exercise for Mate Steinforth’s (guest lecturer from Sehsucht, Berlin) Hybridfilm class at BTK-FH.
The assignment was to make a video for a part of James Blake’s song “Limit to your Love” and should include typography of the song’s lyrics which should be tracked into real footage.
We decided to symbolize the “Limit” with the fence, which holds back “Love” from freedom. Once we found the location and shot the footage with a self-built dolly we tracked it in Boujou, built 3D geometry in Cinema 4D and simulated the fluid in Reaflow.
